Technical information

1: High quality housing which is made of ABS material. This is shock and water resistant (IP-67 with closed socket flaps).

2: 1.8" black/white LCD display indicator

3: NFC reader which can read both Lympik tags and ski cards. The reading distance is approx. 8cm

4: Keyboard with the four keys "Ok" (top left), "Cancel" (top right), "Settings" (bottom left) and "Power" (bottom right).

5: 2 universal sockets for connecting various trigger units such as light barriers, pressure plates, start bars or Lympik expansion modules and for charging your CHRONOS. Both can be used equally

Battery life: 24 hours (-20°C)

Charging time: Approx. 3 hours (0-100%)

Status bar

In the Setup and Timing operating states, the status bar is permanently displayed at the top edge of the display:

1: Signal strength and network operator, in case of missing internet connection this is indicated by xxx (connection to the internet can take up to 5 minutes).

2: Indicator GPS fix, in case of missing GPS connection an X is displayed (successful GPS fix can take up to 3 minutes!).

4: Indicator power supply connected

Note: The device works only with successful connection to the Internet and GPS fix.

Note: The pins detection, bus1, bus2 and reserve are voltage-proof up to a maximum voltage of 12V. The pins supply and trigger are voltage-proof up to a maximum voltage of 15V. Above this voltage the device can be damaged.

Supply

The supply pin is used for charging the battery as well as for supplying external devices. The distinction between charger and external device like light gate is done by the detection pin. The device is charged with a 15V DC charger, the voltage level for external devices is 12V.

Trigger

The two pins Trigger 1 and Trigger 2 are independent of each other and not connected internally. The maximum voltage for these pins is 15V. To prevent false triggering these pins are provided with a hysteresis:

0-1V Low
1-4V Undefined
4-15V High
