The device can be charged during a running timing session. However, to plug in the charger, you must switch to the Setup operating state in order to avoid false triggering by plugging in the charger. Afterwards, it is possible to switch back to the Timing operating mode.
Permanently connecting a charger to CHRONOS without plugging it into the socket is not permitted as undefined states can occur at the two pins Trigger 1 and Trigger 2.
It is not possible to charge the device at temperatures below 3°C. This is due to the built-in lithium-ion batteries. This is due to the built-in lithium-ion batteries which can be damaged when charging at cold temperatures.
If you do not intend to use the device for a longer period of time, charge the battery to approx. 2/3. If the device is stored with a low battery level, this can lead to a deep discharge of the battery due to self-discharge and the device can no longer be turned on.
