Triggered by NFC chip

With Lympik Timing it is possible to trigger the Chronos device using the NFC chip instead of a trigger (e.g. start or light barriers).

To enable triggering by NFC chips, open the advanced menu by holding down OK (green) and Cancel (red) and switch on the device. Release the buttons as soon as you see "Application config" on the screen:

Make sure that "time source" is set to "GNSS". Now scroll down twice with the setup button (blue) until you reach "trigger rfid" and confirm with the cancel button (red). If you have accidentally scrolled down too far, continue scrolling to the end - your Chronos device will start normally and you can repeat the process. If you have successfully selected "trigger rfid", scroll to the end so that your Chronos device starts as usual. Don't forget to make the same setting on your target device. It is also possible to save this setting. This way, your Chronos will always start in the mode that can be triggered with NFC chips. To do this, scroll through the advanced menu until you reach the "Save config" item and confirm again with the cancel button (red).

Your Chronos device will now display the following screen when the triggering by NFC chips has been successfully set:

Please note: To be able to use this feature in the Competition module, the NFC identifiers must be entered in lower case in the registration.

This setting on your Chronos device now also enables overtaking, as the athlete also identifies himself with his chip at the finish.
