Switch on the device by pressing the power button. Your OCULUS device will flash blue, which means it is searching for a GPS signal. As soon as the GPS signal is found, OCULUS will automatically start recording and flash green. The search for the GPS signal can take up to 5 minutes with a clear view of the sky.
We recommend that the athlete switches OCULUS on as soon as they are on the track and switches it off again as soon as they have finished training. The recording can be stopped with a double click and the device automatically searches for an available WiFi to synchronize the data.
Note: The recording must be at least 10 seconds long.
Once OCULUS has finished synchronizing your data, it is immediately ready for analysis in the web app. The data is displayed in tabular form in the results overview according to the settings you have specified under "Presentation". You can also view and analyze the runs in more detail on the map under "Movement data" in the results overview. It is also possible to view and shorten the data records in the course configuration.
You can easily enter additional information in the app and save it at the event under Manual data entry:
Here you have the option of adding information such as blood lactate, heart rate or shot hits and assigning it to the respective lap and the respective athlete. This information can also be displayed in your results table via the course configuration under Presentation.
To shorten a data record, navigate to the track configuration in your results overview - as soon as data is available, this will be displayed in the drop-down data preview. There you can first select the data record you want to edit and use the slider bar to shorten it either at the beginning or end of the recording.
Attention: If a data set is shortened, this not only affects the view in the map, but also the data used for the calculation - for a calculation it is necessary that all gates have been passed through and thus the run has been completed.
It is possible to evaluate one and the same data record in different activities with different configurations.
In the results overview, navigate to Transaction data and click on Compare now:
You can now select two runs that you would like to compare. Only the runs that have been detected and analyzed will appear in this list. You can now select whether the speed should be compared with the time or the position. You can also display the absolute speed or set it in reference to the 1st run.
If you move the cursor over the graph, you can have the two athletes virtually ride the course again. You will see the difference in speed at the respective time. You can view the respective position at that time on the map. The color gradient on the map shows you at a glance where time was gained or lost. By setting the follow mode, you can set the map to move with the analysis as soon as you move the cursor over the graph.
