EVERY SECOND

MEASURABLE

In Motocross and Enduro, millimeters and tenths of seconds decide between victory and defeat — in every corner entry, every acceleration point, every heat. With OCULUS and IRIS, these decisions become measurable for the first time: for coaches with teams, and for riders who want to improve themselves.

The Challenges in Motocross and Enduro

Motocross training runs in heats — 15 to 25 minutes, full throttle, high intensity. What's missing: objective data. Coaches currently assess racing lines, braking points, and sector times by eye — or with a stopwatch in hand. Systematic comparisons between riders or between heats? Hardly possible. In Enduro, even the fixed course structure that would enable manual timing is missing.

Trainers need:
Precise sector times
Line comparison
Speed profile
Independent self-analysis
Video + data combined

The Complete Motocross & Enduro Performance Ecosystem

Sector times — automatic, without a stopwatch

Virtual sectors are defined once in the Lympik Web-App — directly on the GPS map. From then on, OCULUS automatically captures every sector during each heat: entry time, average speed, deviation from best time. No manual stopping, no paper, no guessing. Sector times are available within seconds after WiFi upload — for all riders in the team simultaneously, or for the individual rider after training.

Line analysis

Intelligent training analysis in seconds

After the heat, all OCULUS sensor data is uploaded via WiFi — in seconds, right at the trackside. The analysis software automatically detects start and finish, calculates GPS-based sector times, and displays all performance metrics clearly: speed, average speeds, and sector times. In the interactive map view, racing lines, splits, and training sections can be compared down to a few meters — without manual post-processing.

Racing line and speed — analyzable by yourself for the first time

Anyone training alone previously had no way of knowing whether their chosen line was really the fastest. OCULUS changes that. With a 10 Hz sampling rate, the tracker records a seamless speed profile for every meter of the course — corner entry, corner exit, straights, jump takeoff, landing. After the heat, the web app shows the GPS track directly on the map: Heat 1 versus Heat 3, inside line versus outside line, fastest lap versus average. Coaches immediately see where a rider loses time compared to the team. Those riding alone see their own progress — concrete, measurable, without interpretation.

Video analysis automatically synchronized

With IRIS, video analysis is seamlessly integrated into the Lympik Motion system. All relevant performance data from the OCULUS measurement is automatically linked to the video and displayed as an overlay directly in the image. Speed, sector times, or racing lines are visible at every moment — perfect for precisely assessing technique and performance. Videos are stored online in the Lympik Cloud, giving coaches and athletes access to their recordings anytime — without additional devices or complicated workflows.

Team training and heat structure

For coaches with multiple riders, the system scales without additional effort. Each rider gets their own OCULUS tracker, all data flows into a single coach view. Heat 1 versus Heat 3 of the same rider, Rider A versus Rider B in the same heat — the comparison is created with just a few clicks. The configuration stays saved and doesn't need to be set up again for each training day.

How Does It Work?

1. setup
Configure the course once in the web app: define sectors via GPS map, assign OCULUS tracker to the athlete. Done in just a few minutes.
2. Record
Attach the tracker to the shirt. OCULUS records movement, speed, and position seamlessly at 10 Hz. IRIS synchronizes the camera image in parallel — fully automatic, without manual intervention.
3. Analyze
After the heat: WiFi upload, done. Sector times, speed profiles, GPS track, and video with overlay are available in the web app within seconds — for the coach on the tablet, for the rider on the smartphone.
4. Compare
Heat versus heat, rider versus rider — or today's lap against the best time from last week. The web app overlays GPS tracks and shows speed progressions in parallel. Every sector is directly comparable.
5. share
Share results via link, WhatsApp, or QR code.

With the OCULUS trackers from Lympik, we analyze existing Motocross tracks and special tests domestically and abroad for the first time fully automatically and in detail. With just one click, I receive all decisive performance indicators such as sector times, average speeds, and even the fastest line. The data obtained also allows conclusions about suspension and motorcycle setup. The system is a real game changer – it gives us the opportunity for the first time to systematically integrate precise measurement data into training.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the OCULUS GPS Tracker and how can it be used in motorsport?
OCULUS records high-precision position and speed data across multiple laps. This makes every single point on the track comparable and analyzable.
Can I use OCULUS without a coach?
Yes — OCULUS and the Lympik Web-App are fully designed for independent use. Riders configure their course once, upload via WiFi after the heat, and analyze sector times, racing line, and speed profile directly in the web app. A coach is optional, not required.
How is OCULUS attached during Motocross?
OCULUS is attached to the rider's shirt — directly on the body, not on the motorcycle. This protects the device from vibrations and simultaneously provides more precise movement data, as the sensor directly captures the rider's body movements. Attachment takes just seconds.
